Tilton Shuttle Bus
The Town of Tilton Shuttle Bus is open to residents of Tilton and Sanbornton for trips.
- Bus transportation can travel to Laconia, Gilford, Concord, and Franklin.
- Every effort will be made to accommodate all riders on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Residents will call 603-273-1912 the Wednesday before the week of their appointment to schedule a ride.
- Riders will provide their name, address, telephone number, here they are going, time of appointment, approximate length of time they expect the appointment will take, and return destination. If the bus driver is able to accommodate the date and time, a return call to the resident will be made with a pick-up time.
- Residents must be ambulatory to ride. If there are medical issues, the rider must be accompanied by a caregiver who will assist the person getting on and off the bus.
- Room on the bus is limited to two (2) bags per person when shopping.
- Riders should expect the bus to arrive any time within 15 minutes in advance of the scheduled pick-up time. Please be ready for your ride 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled pick-up time. This allows for more flexibility in scheduling. If possible, please wait where you can be seen and where you can see the bus arrive. (If this is not possible, please advise when making the appointment and provide a cell phone number for contact purposes.)
- Only service animals will be allowed on the bus at this time. Special arrangements for animals in crates, if going to a veterinary appointment, will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Cancellations from riders need to be made as soon as possible (at least 12 hours before the scheduled pick-up time) so that the driver can be notified. To cancel a ride, please call: 603-273-1912.
- Cancellations due to weather will be announced on the www.tiltonnh.org home page and through Tilton Alert. The safety of the riders is the most important factor, so the bus driver will have the final say in cancellations. When bad weather is predicted or occurring, riders should check the website or call 603-273-1912 to check the status of rides. The town of Tilton is not responsible for missed appointments due to delays or cancellations.
- The Town of Tilton reserves the right to deny transportation services due to, but not limited to: disorderly conduct; multiple no-shows; multiple cancellations with no advance notice.
