About NTS

Originally founded in 1984, the Nashua Transit System (NTS) is operated by the City of Nashua and provides fixed route bus and origin-to-destination Demand Response services within the city and surrounding communities. NTS is an essential community resource that drives the local economy by getting employees to work, seniors to medical appointments, students to school, and the general public to popular shopping and recreational facilities.

Available Transit Services

Fixed Route Bus

The Nashua Transit System (NTS) provides regularly scheduled fixed route bus service to the general public within the City of Nashua from Monday through Saturday. There are 12 different bus routes that serve over 350 bus stops throughout Nashua. All buses start and end their journeys at the NTS Transit Center. The Transit Center is a service hub for all buses where passengers can transfer to a different route, buy bus fare, or receive customer assistance. NTS offers free travel training for anyone interested in learning how to ride the fixed route bus and all NTS vehicles are ADA accessible.

ADA Complementary Paratransit

The NTS ADA Complementary Paratransit service is a shared trip, origin-to-destination transportation service for individuals who are unable to access the regular NTS fixed route bus system due to a disability and/or health condition. This service is application based and covers origins and destinations within 3/4 of a mile on either side of the corridor of an NTS bus route. ADA Complementary Paratransit service operates during corresponding fixed route bus times.

Demand Response Services

NTS provides shared ride, origin-to-destination transportation services to senior citizens ages 65 and older in Nashua, and to residents of Merrimack and Hudson, NH. Additionally, NTS is contracted to provide similar services to several other communities in the Souhegan Valley area under the Souhegan Valley Rides (SVR) program operated by the Souhegan Valley Transportation Collaborative (SVTC). All services including SVR are application based and require scheduling ahead of time with NTS.
