HCS Para Express

Operated by Home Healthcare, Hospice and Community Services (HCS) the Para Express is complementary paratransit service to the City Express fixed route bus service to allow everyone access to the mobility that public transportation provides. It is public transportation for people whose disability prevents them from using the City Express fixed bus route service.

  • Advance Notice: Next day reservations must be made by 4:30 p.m. (phone numbers below). On Sundays, a voicemail can be left for the dispatcher to call you back on Monday. Trip requests may be made up to 14 calendar days before your intended trip.
  • Communities Served: Keene. The Para Express will pick up or drop off customers within 3/4 mile of the City Express fixed route service.
  • Cost: $2.00 per one way trip. Personal Care Attendants (PCA’s) ride free. Companions may ride with you as long as space is available and they have the same pick up point and destination. The fare for companions is $2.00 per one way trip.
  • Hours: Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
  • Ridership Eligibility: ADA eligible riders.
  • Wheelchair Accessible?: Yes
