Future In Sight works to advance the independence of NH residents who are blind or visually. One of the many services that they provide to their clients is transportation to vital appointments and errands. Jan S. and Kathy N., a volunteer and client pair, were recently featured on WMUR-TV’s NH Chronicle to highlight the importance of Future In Sight’s work. The story follows a day in the life of Jan, who has completely lost her sight due to glaucoma. Jan was able to run some essential errands thanks to Kathy volunteering her time as a driver.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer driver like Kathy, Future In Sight provide training, mileage reimbursement, and can accommodate when, where, and how often you want to drive. They are particularly looking for drivers in Claremont, Bristol, Danbury, New Hampton, Sanbornton and Manchester. Fill out this short form to express your interest.
