DESCRIPTION:Did you know there’s a nationwide event called Week Without Driving?\n\nIf you can drive or afford a car\, you may not understand what it’s like to rely on walking\, rolling\, transit and asking for rides. But for nearly a third of people living in the United States – people with disabilities\, young people\, seniors and people who can’t afford cars or gas – this is our every day.  America Walks created the Week Without Driving experience so that those who have the option to drive can learn firsthand about the barriers and challenges that nondrivers face and work with nondrivers to create more accessible communities for all. \nCommunities everywhere are embracing this week and considering how nondrivers in their communities move. It’s a week to rethink how to build more accessible places for everyone. Whether you’re walking\, rolling\, biking\, catching public transit or a ride from someone\, the Week will inspire you to reimagine our streets. So mark your calendars\, spread the word\, and join us Monday\, September 29 through October 5\, 2025!

DESCRIPTION:The New Hampshire Transit Association (NHTA)\, in partnership with the State Coordinating\nCouncil for Community Transportation (SCC)\, is proud to announce the official designation of October as Community Transportation Month across New Hampshire.  This annual statewide celebration provides an opportunity for transit providers to highlight the diverse range of public and community transportation services available to Granite Staters. The term “community transportation” refers to all modes of transportation available in a community that helps to meet its residents’ mobility needs — from buses\, shuttles\, and vanpools to volunteer drivers\, pedestrian networks\, and specialized on-demand services like paratransit and non-emergency medical transportation.  Throughout October\, transit agencies across the state will be participating in themed days and activities that celebrate the importance of public transportation and those who keep it moving. \nGranite Staters are encouraged to participate in local events\, follow their local transit agencies on social media\, and explore how community transportation can support their daily lives and the health of their communities. \nParticipating Transit Agencies Include:\n• Advance Transit (AT)\n• Concord Area Transit (CAT)\n• Cooperative Alliance for Seacoast Transportation (COAST)\n• Home Healthcare\, Hospice & Community Services (HCS)\n• Manchester Transit Authority (MTA)\n• Nashua Transit System (NTS)\n• Sullivan County Transportation – Southwestern Community Services (SCS)\n• Tri-County Trans
